High School and Technical & Vocational Education Teacher (Solar Energy Specialization) and Electrical Engineer in Electrical Engineering & Renewable Energy

Kévin Bouda is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) teacher specializing in Solar Energy and an Electrical Engineer in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy. Holding a degree in Electrical Engineering, he is passionate about sustainable energy solutions for developing communities. He combines teaching and field experience to design, install, and maintain reliable electrical and solar systems. Kévin supports capacity building for students and young professionals through practical instruction and hands-on learning. His interests include photovoltaic system design, energy efficiency, and smart energy solutions for rural development. Committed to lifelong learning, he continuously strengthens his expertise through research, professional training, and field projects, contributing to clean energy adoption and the development of skilled technicians and engineers.

SIRF is delivered by the Renewable Energy Technology Training Institute (RETTI) with support from the WOCEWA (Women and Clean Energy in West Africa) small grant framework, a program of ECOWAS implemented by ECREEE.

This support strengthens SIRF’s mission to advance women-led clean energy enterprises and research-driven solar manufacturing capacity in West Africa.

SIRF forms part of a broader renewable energy capacity-building framework supported under the WOCEWA initiative. While SIRF delivers virtual research training across Africa, a separate Solar Panel Assembly Training program will provide hands-on solar assembly training to 20 Nigerian women in Lagos.

Selected practical insights from SIRF research may inform aspects of the demonstration assembly process. Both initiatives contribute to strengthening local solar manufacturing capacity.
