Ahela Elsayed Ali Elshrkawy
Ahela Elshrkawy is a USAID Scholar and a Materials & Nanoscience graduate, currently serving as a Business Development Specialist at NoorNation. She is deeply passionate about renewable energy research, advanced materials, and solar cell development. During her research exchange at Temple University, USA, she specialized in nanophotonics and thin-film physics, with expertise spanning PV device optimization, superconducting MgB₂ films, and SERS-active nanostructures.
An award-winning innovator, Ahela led the "Robot-based Oil-spill Sponge" project, securing 1st place at Temple University’s Innovative Idea Competition and ranking in the top 6 globally at WFCC 2025. Her professional work focuses on bridging fundamental research with field-ready solar-direct solutions to drive sustainable energy access across Africa. Recently selected for the Solar Innovators Research Fellowship (SIRF), she remains committed to leveraging material science for global energy transitions.
